Dads in foster care and adoption circles are by and large living in isolation. They don’t have the same type of support system that moms seem to naturally develop.

This retreat will be a time for dads to rest, relax, connect with other foster and adoptive dads. Our desire is that you leave a retreat feeling connected and having hope restored.

Retreats are all-inclusive. Most cabins are double-occupancy. Limited single occupancy cabins will be available on a first come, first serve basis for an additional cost.

Haven Kid’s Retreats are offered once a year, during the summer holidays, and are open to biological children of foster and adoptive families. This weekend exists as a safe place for children to work through the complex feelings that come as a sibling to children from hard places.

This retreat is held at a local youth camp that offers fun-filled activities like a Zip Line, Giant Swing, a Giant Blob, tons of water activities and more! Our hope is to provide space for our kids to talk about how they both love and struggle in their role as a sibling to children with complex trauma, while simultaneously experiencing a fun-filled weekend designed just for them.

These weekends are built to allow foster and adoptive parents ample opportunity to recharge and reconnect as a couple, and also in the group. Priority registration is given to previous retreat attendees to come with their spouse.
